The museum is located in the bottom floor of the Allan “Doc” Lewis Order of the Arrow building at Cherokee Scout Reservation found southwest of Yanceyville, North Carolina.

The museum is owned by the Old North State Council, Boy Scouts of America which is headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. Oversight of the museum’s operation is by the History Committee of the council.

Tours are available on Thursday nights during summer camp, during Order of the Arrow activities at camp, and by appointment.
